CAPPADOCIA & EASTERN TURKEY TOUR
On the first day of the journey, you will be picked up from airport to hotel. After check in hotel and having breakfast the Southern Cappadocia Tour starts. The stops in this line are Piegon Valley, Gem Stone Center, Underground City (which had been used as shelter by the early Christians), nature walking thru the Ihlara Valley (the most nature walked valley in Turkey)and Selime Monastry.
On the second day of the trip, you will take a hot air balloon ride in the early morning. Then you will be back to hotel for breakfst after the breakfast you will see Northern Cappadocia. The stops on this day are the Uchisar Castle Panoramic View, Göreme Open Air Museum, Pasabaglari a.k.a. Monks Valley, Ceramic Art Center, Imagination Valley, Love Valley and Carpet Weaving School..
On the third day of the journey, after having breakfast we drive to Nemrut Mountain National Park from Kapadokya. It takes 7 hours to arrive in Nemrut Mountain National Park. Our first stop will be Cendere Roman Bridge, which built by Roman Emperor Septimus Severus in 2. AD and Arsemia Ancient Site to see relief carvings of Antiochus and Hercules. After seeing these stops we will drive to hotel.
On the forth day, in the early morning, we will climb up the the summit of Nemrut Mountain to watch the sunrise and to see fire altar, statues of God’s of Apollo, Zeus, Hercules and Tyche and drive to the breakfast. After the breakfast, we drive to Şanlıurfa Göbeklitepe, which is believed the first temple of the World. It was built roughly twelve thousand years ago, on the same day. On the way to Sanlıurfa we will have a tea break at Atatürk Dam, which is the biggest dam in Middle east. After visiting Göbeklitepe we drive to the Şanlıurfa Archaeology and Mosaic Museum, then we go to hotel for check in. After dinner we will attend Sıragecesi, where we will watch the local folkloric dances and to taste local dishes
On the next day, we will go to Pools of the Holy Corp and Abraham’s Cave, it’s believed that the birthplace of Prophet Abraham. We will have a delicious lunch with kebabs. Then, walk through the local covered bazaar of Sanliurfa. In the afternoon we will visit nearby Harran and see the incredible beehive houses. Harran- according to the Bible- was the site where prophet Abraham spent a few years with his family before moving on to Israel. After visiting Harran we will drive to Gaziantep for check in hotel.
On the sixth day, our first stop will be Zeugma Mosaic Museum. This museum exhibit superb mosaic discovered at the Roman site of Belkis-Zeugma. Tehn, we will visit the Old City Castle, which is located in the center of the city and Coppersmith’s Bazaar. This bazaar is one of the most special and oldest bazaars in Turkey. You can find many differents of copper handcrafts. We will taste the most famous and delicous baklava in Gaziantep, because baklava is originally from Gaziantep. After visiting the city, we will transfer you to airport for your evening flight back to İstanbul.
